The second trailer for David O’ Russell’s ‘The Fighter’. This is great, nice to see a bit of variation on the trailer form. The use of audio and the almost expressionist montage of shots builds brilliantly. In fact it does exactly what the first trailer fails to do - makes me want to see the film. It’s probably too early to say that Bale’s support role is looking more like the sort of role he should be doing, although I’m beginning to think he’s addicted to altering his body weight for roles.
